Plynk is fun.

Social money is around person to person payments – and this is big. Plynk is making the transfer of money to friends and relatives fun. And Free! Yes, there is a payments engine in their software, but Plynk is really a social media platform at its heart. Plynk is Dublin’s most exciting start-up based in Camden St Dublin 2. It’s a true start up – but with a difference. It’s a rocket taking off. Plynk Launched their app in January 2017 and by June raised the largest Series a funding in the history of the Irish state so far - €25m. The market knows a good thing when it sees it.

Working in our company means a few things. People truly believe and are passionate about what they're doing. The customer is at the heart of everything we do. Leave your ego at the door, and be ready to have all your capabilities used and your voice heard. This is an environment where you and your team will be given high-level problems to solve and you have to go and solve them. No detailed functional specs. Just ideas and the expectation of results. Experiment, fail, try again, succeed and deliver. Own your failures and share your successes. That’s you.

As a Senior UX’r, you will take the lead on the design of the key features of the Mobile interfaces and platform, as part of a cross functional team (Product, Backend Dev & Mobile Dev) and lead the charge with the customer journey in mind for this complex social media and payments platform. It’s built using Java 8 and a range of AWS solutions as well as a host of cool front end tech. You’ll have the opportunity to bring your UX experience to influence product development at the highest levels and immerse yourself in a fast paced, fun environment, working with some cracking engineers. You will also bring to the table expertise in UX Research and the analytics behind what you build. Does it work? How do you know? If it's not working, why?  If you love Mobile UX and keep in touch with the latest ways of doing things then this is the place for you.

So, what do you look like?

Well, you will own both an iPhone and android device for a start. You will want to look at what you create on both. That’s a good sign. If you have launched an app – then you are certainly peaking our interest. You will have a relevant tech design qualification because you knew quickly you were going to design software from an early stage. You are told a lot how creative you are. You have some years of commercial UX experience (ability over tenure please) working with development teams pushing for elegant simple user centric designs for mobile apps (native) and web software.  Of importance is experienced in UX Research techniques, looking at usability testing, heuristic evaluation and analytics or user activity to determine what works and not. You should be using Firebase and Facebook for analytics. That would be fantastic. You’ll have excellent communication skills in English for the SCRUMS.  If you have worked as a founder or entrepreneur before and are back on the market – don’t overlook us, you’ll find yourself in good company. You are really excited about working in a start-up to watch it grow and flourish. You’ll have strong abilities with Sketch, Illustrator, and Photoshop and be able to show us visuals on your design of mobile experiences (like graphic design, typography and visual hierarchy). When we interview you, you’ll show us project architecture documents including Sitemaps, Workflows, Schematics, Wireframes and Blueprints
