Data Analyst / Reporting Specialist – Daily Rate Contract – Dublin

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Database Analyst / Reporting Specialist in a Business Support role to conduct query resolutions and generate reports using SQL 2008.  A passion for database management and development is required, a supply chain background hugely beneficial.

This is a six month contract paying approx. €150 per day, with an option of long term extension

To be considered for interview your skills and competencies will include:

• Fluent verbal and written English
• SQL Database knowledge and experience of developing reports.
• Deep understanding of MS Excel and Access and how information is imported from SAP.
• Ability to write reports and queries from SQL.
• Strong Sharepoint or web development abilities preferable.
• Supply chain background ideal.
• Great attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• SAP R/3 knowledge and experience preferred

On successful hire you will assume responsibility for:

• Execute database reports on a daily basis and export into Excel and Access.
• Examine results of database queries and interpret results looking for anomalies and inconsistencies.  Give your opinion and advice to line managers on the outcome of results and potential solutions.
• Develop Reporting and continual process improvements
• Resolve and report on queries that arise from the weekly reporting processes.
• Generate key reports such as channel inventory reports and excess inventory reports
• Drive process improvements in the SQL database used to manage the system.
• Support the Senior Inventory Analyst in all aspects of their role, including process improvement opportunities.
• Establish yourself as a point of contact for Database Management and Business Resolution Issues.
