Want to work for a privately owned successful company employing over 100 people in Ireland, Northern Ireland (HQ) and the UK? Based in their branch in the Red Cow, this role will be responsible for over 17 staff, warehouse operatives and manager, Technical Customer Services, Internal & External sales and admin staff. The company services BtoB and holds a lot of stock and manage logistics to customers. This role is to have a helicopter overview of all the operations from a people and processes point of view and look at implementing HQ business plans effectively. You will look at things like Fleet Policy, what’s the current stock holding like and what to do with it, Health & Safety policy, more granular things in the business to become more proactive than being reactive. You will also lead the team, manage communications, work on team morale and motivation and take care of recruitment and oversee the HR policies and procedures, including recruitment and selection, contracts of employment, performance management and training and development. Manage the ongoing development of management reporting systems and efficient operational practices within the organisation. You will meet regularly with the management team (who come down to Dublin) on a formal or informal basis to encourage good working relationships between departments and ensure communication of management information.

Sounds great, what do I need to apply?

Well, first and foremost is the right attitude. We need someone who is a “can do” person, who takes on responsibility and faces off challenges with composure, someone who uses rationale and someone people can gravitate to as a people leader.  You will have some years commercial experience in industrial, engineering or construction services where you have been responsible for a team and operation (you will know your way around the books like Cashflow, Credit Control, budget planning to be able to work with the finance director on reporting) and be able to demonstrate in interview how you have worked previously to achieve operational efficiencies and profitability through effective management of productivity and quality standards. If you had ISO experience, that would be amazing – but not a requirement. You will be strong at using your resources in order to cost effectively achieve excellent service levels and be able to ensure the development and implementation of effective logistics control systems to ensure stock levels are in line with customer requirements. Your PC skills will be strong.

€50K and €5K Bonus and a pension
