Business Development Manager  - Exciting New FMCG Brand

This company, a leader in the agribusiness space with lots of high-profile and with a strong Irish heritage, are looking to welcome a business development manager to help with the launch of an exciting new drinks brand. This person will have responsibility for driving awareness, building brand identity and delivering new business.


Looks good so far, but what would my day-to-day look like?

Develop and deliver new business through direct and targeted sales call and relationship building
Take commercial responsibility for delivering agreed targets, by effectively closing deals and managing accounts
Prospect and open new accounts, while developing and recording a strong pipeline of quality leads
Manage the full sales cycle from initial client contact through to delivery management
Record and maintain all information on the CRM
Develop and implement a sales and marketing plan and report on KPI’s
Assist in the development, launch and roll-out of the brand
Supporting the MD in events and brand launch
Monitor competitor activities and identify marketing opportunities for new product development


Great, now what should my profile look like in order to be considered?

Third level qualification in business or marketing
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role i.e. direct selling in FMCG, specifically drinks
Strong client-facing sales skills in terms of new accounts and branding
Excellent negotiation skills and experience closing deals
Target-driven, and a passion to succeed
Proactive outlook, and the ability to leverage different methods to gain access to decision-makers within companies
Full clean drivers’ license

This role will be split between the office In Co. Wexford (2 days making calls and setting appointments) the field (3 days out at meetings) and will pay a competitive salary along with bonuses, and the tools of the trade including car, phone and laptop.
