Commercial Manager – Consulting

This is a commercially driven, leadership role positioned within the world of capital markets. Your employer is a UK based consultancy firm, who have very successfully developed a unique consulting solution for the financial services sector (capital markets). In the last three years, they’ve developed a really impressive client list and delivered key projects with a winning solution for all parties.

Development in the Irish market has already begun, and the portfolio of clients are growing. The UK based leaders and head office can provide extensive training, support and operational practical assistance, but we need a commercial leader who will take accountability for the Irish market. This is a chance to step into a “MD” type position, and literally grow the team, the clients, and the market. Your offering is really unique and the timing is brilliant.

The type of background that will suit well should have you with a solid sales or commercial track record, along with a deep understanding and ideally professional experience in the capital marketplace. Skills of sales, commercial leadership, people management, consultancy and business development along with discipline, ambition and the genuine desire to have the responsibility and reward of your own business.

Here’s a little more:

  • This operation has had excellent success in the UK over the last 4+ years since foundation. We can be very forthcoming with details on this, and you’ll have access to the “how” of this being done, along with support and guidance of it’s replication in Ireland.
  • Your market place is very definable – but you’re going to need previous experience and some contacts in capital markets.
  • This is a consultative service, so understanding the space is key.
  • Proactive, client facing, sales skills will certainly be required, but you won’t just be selling. You’ll be handling the P&L, taking responsibility for a growing team and presenting yourself as the most senior team member in Ireland. There’s a massive opportunity here for unlimited long-term investment.


For this to be for you, you’re likely to be currently working in a commercial, consultancy environment. You’d like your own business, or the opportunity to have your own “piece” of one, where you can benefit from support but ultimately be in charge. You’ll have skills of mature, commercial management and business development. The earning potential is naturally uncapped and based on profit share, and a base salary of approx. €75K.
