To be considered for interview, your skills and experience will include:

  • 3rd Level Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience as a systems engineer including software development, hardware programming and system optimisation
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Proficiency in software optimisation and tuning in multi-threaded environments
  • Knowledge of Intel x86 platforms, architecture and tuning
  • Knowledge of Linux including kernel and file system internals
  • Experience with network stacks, protocols and packet processing
  • Assembly programming
  • RAID configuration and optimisation
  • Hardware selection, configuration, optimisation and troubleshooting

On successful hire your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assume responsibility for setting up an Intel x86 platform to enable new product releases later this year.
  • Working on Linux – Kernal Level to develop systems optimization.
  • Design new feature enhancements for existing products.
  • Liaise with the “user space” teams to coordinate a series of rapid releases.
  • Take a lead role in working on a series of highly advanced hardware and software products.
  • Actively try to break our tools to spot weak points and challenge our performance levels.
  • Become the voice of a core engineering team headquartered in Dublin to champion the R&Dobjectives.
  • Constantly check-in and align your day to day activities with the overall product and business objectives.
  • Proactively assume a leadership role that enables a high performing team to continually innovate, develop and create.
  • Always ask “why” and “how can we do better?”
