Job Title: Financial Accountant

Our client is one of the global leaders in aircraft leasing. With their HQ based in Ireland they aw now looking to recruit a financial accountant into their team.

RECRUITERS are seeking a motivated individual to join this company as a Financial accountantr. In this position, you will be reporting to the Vice President Financial Reporting, and you will be primarily responsible for preparation of all US GAAP financial reporting for the consolidated group. You will be challenged to develop yourself, to extend your knowledge and skills and to proactively participate in projects to improve and professionalize processes in the company. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with relevant working experience.

On successful hire, you will assume responsibility for: 

  • Preparation of consolidated quarterly management accounts under US GAAP
  • Preparation of US GAAP/SEC compliant reporting at quarter end and year end
  • Assist the strategic planning department to develop budgets and business plans
  • Assist in recording the Company’s deferred tax positions in various jurisdictions and assist in tax planning analyses
  • Supply information to internal and external auditors and work closely with them to ensure efficient and timely quarterly review and year-end audit                                                                                                                          

To be considered for an interview, your skills and background will include:

  • Qualified accountant
  • Aircraft Leasing/Leasing experience desirable
  • Relevant experience in an international environment including a big four audit firm
  • Hands-on (willing to understand the details of complex issues), a team player and able to assist staff solve their problems
  • Experience with SEC reporting and US GAAP
