This organisation is a global leader in the e-commerce space and has recently opened a large development centre in Ireland’s west to concentrate on building out new projects like augmented reality and natural language processing. To continue to offer their customers the best possible shopping experience, they are looking to welcome a front-end developer to their team based in Connaught. This person will work collaboratively with different development and QA teams, and will have a direct impact on the homepage that 25 million customers interact with daily. 

 

Great, but what would my day-to-day look like?

 

Code HTML/CSS mockups and test and verify projects thoughout the development process
Build custom Javascript components
Oversee site optimisation for SEO, cleaner and concise code and code weight
Act as liaison between the creative department, NOC and IT to address issues as they arise 
Create reusable HTML and CSS modules
Consume backend services to display content and data via ReactJS templates and processes
Oversee development of production code

Looks good, but what should my profile look like in order to be considered?

You’ll be degree qualified with at least 3 years professional development experience
Excellent Javascript skills, with Angular  React and BackboneJS
A passion for clean code
A strong understanding of UI design, usability and accessibility
Strong CSS skills will a full understanding of specificity and cascade
Skills around Node.js, Docker and CI/CD principles are a big plus
