Head of Data Analytics (Marketing) – Caribbean/Central America


This organisation is a global leader in their space, and have recently launched a new part of the business, having partnered with multiple local banks, with a vision of providing a cross-border suite of  mobile financial services to locations with limited banking resources. To help with getting the message out there, they are looking to welcome a head of marketing data analytics to their team. The role will be to make data-driven, build a team of analysts and identify and predict key growth levers.

The ideal person will have an encyclopaedic knowledge and hands-on experience of analysing marketing campaigns, and also have a deep knowledge and expertise in quantitative analysis and statistics to unearth  customer insights. This role will report directly into the Group CMO, and will appeal to someone looking for a step up into a high-visibility key role.


Looks good so far, but what would my day-to-day look like?

Build a team of marketing analysts around you to create and the marketing data warehouse strategy, technology stack rollout and creation of data tools and reporting suites for customer-facing parts of the business
Transform raw data into actionable insights and ensure all departments marketing efforts effectively driving conversion, growth and revenue
Undertake customer journey and retention analysis to determine promotional campaign effectiveness
Identify and track CPA and build predictive acquisition and churn models
Optimise marketing efforts through targeted segmentation/clustering and attribution modelling
Design and execute A/B and multivariate split tests
Advise on interpretation of marketing data including campaign and web analytics and provide insight and recommendations to local marketing teams


Great, now what should my profile look like in order to be considered?


At least a Master’s Degree in data science, computer science, statistics, data analytics or similar
A t least 5 years’ hands-on experience in data analysis, statistics and data modelling as well as proficiency managing large data sets in various formats
Experience with BI, data mining, statistical analysis and data visualisation tools (Tableau or similar)
Ability to continuously improving funnel conversion customer retention rates and tenure
Ability to communicate complex findings in a structured a clear manner to a non-technical audience
Comfortable dealing with digital marketing platform partners such as AdWords, DoubleClick, Marketo, Facebook etc) and integrating 3rd party API’s
Oversee campaign tagging and tracking as well as ongoing measurement and maintenance
Act as an advocate of growth-hacking practices and use experience driving fast exponential growth
Hunger to become a world class marketing data analytics thought leader
