The Role – International Sales Executive - German speaking

This is a unique and challenging experience for a confident sales executive with some previous exposure in international markets to join a highly innovative and welcoming team. Joining the organization at a key stage of development, this product is much sought after and whilst new to the marketplace is attracting huge industry attention along with multiple recognition awards for innovation.

Your role within the team will be client facing and involve approx 30% European travel. This will be largely focused on German market, so we'll need someone ideally with native, but definitely fluent spoken and written German. With considerable support around the ongoing development and progression of these accounts, within the team, you’ll take a large responsibility for on-site product demonstration, negotiation and closing. You’ll need to bring skills of strong commercial awareness, tender writing and analytical skills whilst being mindful always of new opportunities.

Whilst the product within in question presents as being quite technical, this portion of the sales pitch will not require previous experience within the scientific field.  There is sales engineers/support and of course, training provided.

Here are some core details:

You will be working in a dynamic sales team, selling the company’s own developed and patented product into a B2B market of primarily manufacturing environments.
You’ll be travelling internationally, to create strong bonds with new and current client relationships.
This is a target driven role, with expectations around delivery and closing agreements. You can expect sales cycles of approx 6 months.
You’ll bring with you exceptional verbal communication, social awareness and ease in various cultural environments.
Notable and previously developed negotiation skills.
This client contact will ensure strong identification and articulation of customer requirements.
Make product presentations to large audiences
Communicate effectively internally and externally (verbal & written)
European travel is an important part of the job (approx  30%). Ideally, some experience in an international environment will be a good asset.

The ideal candidate should be a German speaker with 100% English (and a third European language would be a huge advantage!) self-motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently. Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar sales role. This could genuinely suit somebody at an early part of their sales career (3/4 years), who demonstrates great commercial capability, is target aware and can manage long sales cycles. Being able to manage high levels of client interaction is key.
