As the International Tax Consultant, with this well known and hugely profitable business, you will be part of a small team that reports to the International Tax Director based in Dublin. You will provide a varied range of tax services to what will largely be to their European businesses. Your direct report will be into a Senior Tax Manager who supports the international business, and your role will focus on the following key activities;

  • Assisting with tax audits in Europe, including liaising with local external tax advisers as required
  • Preparation/review of quarterly and year-end tax reporting under US GAAP and IFRS
  • Run and maintain a new compliance monitoring tool that will be launching in 2018
  • Maintaining the tax risk register for the world outside USA region by gathering timely input from teams in Dublin and drafting input for the quarterly audit committee meeting
  • Assisting the Senior Tax Manager in developing and executing the tax strategy for the European business
  • Draft a quarterly note on relevant changes in EMEA tax law, articulating potential consequences for the group and suggesting corrective action
  • Providing support for M&A projects, transactions, tax planning initiatives

So, what do you look like?

  • Third level qualifications within relevant areas such as Finance or Taxand have a minimum 3 plus years of experience in tax in public accounting/practice and/or a publicly traded company
  • Meaningful exposure to a number of different tax regimes in Europe
  • Experience with tax compliance and reporting processes. Having US GAAP/IFRS experience is a strong advantage but not a necessity. Experience with SAP/HFM is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Enjoys and thrives working with and in a cross-functional team
