Marketing Executive – Life Sciences

This Irish SME, based in the Carlow/Kilkenny area, is very much punching above their weight in the life sciences sector both in Ireland and abroad. They provide a number of products and services including maintenance, manufacturing, consulting and training along with a best-in-class R&D division. Due to increased growth in the number of services offered and new products coming down the line, they are looking to welcome a marketing executive to their tam who will work closely with the board of directors to strategise, design and develop the marketing plan for all the company’s divisions.

Sounds good so far, now what would my day-to-day look like?

Planning, developing and executing a compelling marketing strategy to communicate new and existing products, services and events

Working in conjunction with the sales director to ensure the plan is fit-for-purpose and is implemented properly

Manage and report on the company’s annual marketing budget

Create compelling marketing campaigns and content and provide marketing support to the New Product Development Division

Design and prepare in-house and external promotional campaigns, sometimes with external agency support

Co-ordinate all group social media activities and presence and develop the digital marketing strategies

Manage the maintenance and development of all company sites and web presences

Update Salesforce to reflect and improve lead generations

Great, now what should my profile look like in order to be considered?

Degree-qualified, ideally in marketing or some other related discipline

3-4 years’ experience in marketing, ideally with some of that in the life sciences space

Knowledge around event management and experience would be a plus

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Looks like a really exciting opportunity! What else do I need to know?

This role is permanent and is based in Co. Carlow, within an easy commute from Carlow, Kilkenny and South Wicklow, and will pay up to €45K depending on experience. It’s an incredible opportunity to work with a locally controlled but internationally respected organisation in a key, outward-facing role where you’ll have lots of autonomy and support.
