What’s the Opportunity?

Having recently merged with one of the biggest fashion retailers in the UK, this Iconic Irish based high street fashion group is going from strength to strength; NOW is your chance to get on board and start building a fantastic career with them in Merchandising.  You will use your financial planning and analysis skills to ensure the efficient and profitable merchandising of the operation.

What will the day to day look like?

•             Produce reports on sales and stock figures

•             Maintain the correct range on the system, ensuring correct item detail

•             Liaise with the supplier to identify and confirm action plans

•             Calculating rebates and markdown support following promotions

•             Liaise with the eCommerce team to identify web range & ensure they full product detail

•             Review cost and retail price changes while ensuring margin is maintained

•             Responsible for replenishment including defining replenishment parameters, forecasting sales trends, reporting on out of stock analysis and supplier fulfilment issues.

•             Work with the buyer to identify stock to be marked down for promotional activity and decide the level of discount with the Head of Merchandise Planning

•             Along with the buyer and department manager, lead regular review meetings to maximise sales, improve sell-through and manage stock levels

•             Working to improve efficiencies within the department e.g. new reporting templates, improved working processes

•             To assist the Buyer in reporting for the department and other duties as required

•             To keep up to date with trends and competitors in the marketplace for the relevant group/department and all adjacent categories

•             To keep up to date a promotional calendar with all the relevant commercial activities of the department


To be considered for an interview, you will need:

•             Degree level qualification in Business, Finance, Maths or equivalent essential

•             Minimum 5 years merchandising experience within a retail environment

•             Thorough understanding of merchandise planning with brands
