We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic .NET Software Developers with up to 5 years’ experience for South Dublin.

At a high level, you will be working on all aspects of the SDLC and working with Solutions Architects to design and develop applications. You will also be responsible for:

  • Working with Solutions Architects to enhance product design
  • Writing software to implement business functional requirements and conduct unit tests
  • Assisting the testing group in developing integration and functional test
  • Refactoring and modifying code for product improvement and bug fixes
  • Working on the core calculations engine (c++) which handles the actuarial and calculations for the products (35%)
  • Product development (Back end) in .NET and c# (65%) working with a creative and energised team to imagine and build enterprise software solutions in line with business objectives
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified (computer science, Physics, mathematics, Electronic engineering) and be mathematically orientated with a proven and successful track record developing software applications in a .NET environment.

Technologies Required Candidates should have experience of working with the following technologies:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5
  • SQL (Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle)
  • C#
  • Ajax

NICE TO HAVES In addition to the above, experience of working with any or all of the following technologies would be desirable:

  • Experience gained working within the life assurance and pension, or financial services sector
  • ADO.NET and/or Microsoft Entity Framework.
  • Windows Communication Foundation
  • Team Foundation Server
  • ASP.NET Razor
  • Unit Testing
  • Visual Studio
  • Windows Workflow Foundation
  • Microsoft ASP.NET MVC
  • Asynchronous Programming
  • UML

  • Ability to develop and implement solutions within a team-oriented environment
  • Experience working within a disciplined software engineering process including requirement management, design, test configuration management, and maintenance techniques
