They are looking for a new team member whose role will be a cross between Project Management and Business Analysis on IT projects for key clients. This role will include requirements analysis, budget management, resource management, risk & issue management, project scheduling, tracking and communications & reporting. On a small project you may be required to do both roles and on larger projects, you will do one or the other.

 

Sounds great! What responsibilities will I have?

As Business Analyst you will:

  • Gather requirements and host client workshops
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements
  • Provide expert documentation including Functional requirements- Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen, and Interface designs
  • Work cross-functionally and challenge the status quo
  • You will be an expert in understanding customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • You will be the bridge between the customer and the software development and internal teams

As Project Manager:

  • Project Planning and Scheduling
  • Project Development & Test Management
  • Communications Planning & Reporting on project status including financial Tracking and Reporting (against budget)
  • Project Monitoring and Control
  • Project Risk and Issue Management
  • Change Management - Project change requests

This sounds amazing! What do I need?

  • Degree in Computing / IT or similar
  • Project management, Prince 2 or PMI certification an advantage.
  • Strong technical and business skills.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills required (written and verbal).
  • Experience of budget management, resource management, 3rd party vendor management, risk & issue management, project scheduling
  • Ability to understand business requirements and how to translate them into technical solutions
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
