€50000-€60000 base DOE

This Irish and locally controlled organisation provides best-in-class software solutions and platforms to global companies in the travel and airline space, and to ensure the continued success of the product, they’re now looking to welcome a QA engineer to their team based in Dublin City Centre. This is a dynamic and ever-changing role, and is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career with a well-regarded indigenous company offering leading-edge solutions in an interesting industry. 

Looks good so far, but what would my day-to-day look like?

Develop the test strategy and create and execute test plans in conjunction with development and DevOps teams
Plan, design and write test cases from requirements and User Stories
Write automation test cases to verify the functional and non-functional requirements of a feature
Troubleshoot issues to determine if they are environmental or code-related 
Work to constantly improve processes and tools with the development team
Work with BA’s to clarify requirements and work through test feedback
Ensure Test Progress reports are updated and Test tasks are reviewed and closed at the end of each Sprint

Great, now what should my profile look like in order to be considered?

Degree in Computer Science or similar 
3 years software testing experience - experience in automated testing isn’t necessarily a hard requirement, but candidates must be excited to learn!
Experience testing within an Agile product environment
Knowledge of how to determine the genesis of  defect (with debugging tools such as Firebug) 
Prior experience working in a CI environment
Some knowledge of Java, and of travel software industry would be an advantage but is not 100% required
