Senior Project Accountant

We are looking for a candidate who will have the ability to create a Project Accounting sub-function within an overall finance team. This function will be responsible for creating a suite of Management Reports for Senior Management which will monitor actual V budget KPIs for ongoing projects. This role is very high profile within the organisation.

Sounds great! What will my day look like?

  • Perform detailed financial analysis on revenues and costs to extract meaningful insights.
  • Producing project profitability and margin analysis reports, analysing trends and highlighting key areas of improvement across the commercial and delivery management functions
  • Creating and continually updating Customer and Project Profitability models.
  • Introduce time Reporting
  • Directly reporting to the CFO
  • Analyse data and develop business models to reflect current and future business needs for group companies.
  • Consolidation of forecasts and budgets as required.
  • Develop and implement streamlined financial processes/ systems and enhance existing business processes/ systems to improve efficiencies across the group.
  • Assist in the development of metrics for business management and development.

This job is perfect! What are the requirements to be considered?

  • Ideally you will be a Fully Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 4+ years post qualification experience.
  • You will have excellent analytical skills and communication skills and be comfortable dealing with senior internal stakeholders and translating the numbers to non-financial staff.
  • A commercially focused person with an aptitude for process improvement will be successful.
