Salary:

Senior Software Engineer

My client globally dominates their industry by leading the service provision of the world’s mobile workforce management solutions. Right here in Dublin, they are the definition of an Irish success story and they continue to grow a team on the cutting edge of the smart transport market, developing IoT technology - think drones and self-driving cars!

Right now, their growth requires a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement and launch successful enterprise-level systems and collaborate with other Developers and Product Designers for an integrational approach towards IoT that is both independent and team-based in nature.

It is a sizeable base salary on offer here alongside bonuses, health insurance, pension, generous holidays, paid maternity and paternity cover and educational assistance to name but a few of the other little perks and benefits.

Sounds fantastic! So what does the role look like?

  •  Craft efficient, reusable and performant components and subsystems
  •  Write unit tests and conduct load testing
  • Contribute to design and code reviews within the Development Team
  •  Investigate code or data issues and work to implement a solution
  •  Address software performance issues, as well as any discovered issues when working through resolution
  • Debug, performance test and tune web services at the transport layer
  • Support internal customers to provide assistance with complex issues to diagnosis and resolve

Love it - What are they looking for?

As you’ll be working with the latest tech, you need to have:

  • Confidence in your abilities; a sense of ownership over your ability to innovate
  • The computer science fundamentals (so data structures, algorithms, programming languages and design patterns)
  • 4+ years of experience in the design and development of distributed systems (preferably with C#)
  • Strong communication skills in order to articulate complex technical issues in a non-technical way
  • Ability to collaborate with and technically-educate other developers on design considerations, project status, and other issues affecting the software life cycle
