This role is perfect for a senior manager who comes from a software development background and has expert experience in leading and motivating teams. You will have direct reports and lead a team who develop, design and deliver high-quality business applications and services to meet the overall business needs.

Sounds great! What does the day-to-day look like?

  • You will lead a large cross-functional team in product development.
  • You will have an expert understanding of Lean/Agile processes and ways of working and facilitate continuous improvement based solutions into the process.
  • You will work cross-functionally with other senior managers to achieve the product development requirements
  • Create a learning environment and provide encouragement for continuous learning and development
  • You will manage the career development of your team members
  • You will work with the Talent team to facilitate hiring, onboarding, engagement, and development of new hires.
  • Facilitate and support tech talks and promote knowledge sharing across teams
  • You will live and foster the values and culture of the development centre and lead by example
  • You will take ownership of continuous performance management across your team
  • Support the creation of a scalable structure and environment
  • You will conduct Training Needs Analysis and understand your team’s upskilling requirements
  • Work with your team to deliver bespoke career plans to ensure talent is retained
  • You will be a master of motivation and enjoy driving your team to success

This sounds like a great opportunity, what do I need?

  • A BSc. or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field is preferable
  • Solid experience in shaping a team in a growing agile organisation
  • Expert understanding of how effective culture and employee growth initiatives work
  • Proven experience in delivering unique initiatives for employee learning and development.
  • Be an advocate for ‘New’ and consider the latest thinking and try out new approaches.
  • Be able to deep dive and identify issues affecting teams and individual growth and plan to fix.
  • Capability to bring Agile & Lean principles and practices to our people approach.
  • Have experience providing continuous feedback
  • Finance operations oversight of project and software engineering teams
  • Possess a strong understanding of Agile development methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban.
