Our client is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to join their high-performing team building advanced data products and analytics APIs. This is a 12-month daily rate contract (€575/day) based in Dublin with hybrid working and strong potential for extension.

 

You’ll be working on a scalable analytics platform offering services like prediction-as-a-service and real-time credit risk insights via APIs. Expect a hands-on role across data engineering, backend development, and some front-end integration—delivering meaningful solutions at scale.

 

✅ Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

1. Strong experience with the Hadoop platform
2. Proficient in Python using PySpark
3. Solid knowledge of Databricks SQL

 

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the design and development of scalable full-stack data solutions
• Build and optimize data pipelines with PySpark and Databricks
• Develop APIs to power analytics-driven tools and platforms
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and cross-functional engineering teams
• Write clean, well-tested code and mentor junior engineers

 

Ideal Background:

• 5+ years in data or full-stack engineering roles
• Strong experience across Python, PySpark, Hadoop, SQL, and modern data tools
• Familiarity with front-end tech (React, Redux, TypeScript) is a bonus
• Passion for data-driven problem solving and building real-world solutions
• Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
