It's hard to believe RECRUITERS is fifteen years old today! And so we thought we would tell you a short story about how we came to be and how we've evolved over the years.
So, once upon a time, there were two highly trained and experienced recruitment professionals that worked in one of the world's largest recruitment consultancies.
Every day, they would ensure that their clients and candidates received the best recruitment service possible. Over time, these two directors became more and more frustrated because they noticed the standard of the industry that they were so passionate about, began changing significantly.
It became much more about the metrics - firing CVs out at clients, how many calls were made in a day, were your targets met - and the consultancy aspect of their jobs (the aspect they loved most) was slowly diminishing. They noticed that the culture within the industry also began to change as a result.
Until finally, on the 6th March 2006, The two consultants, Gerard Doyle and Brian McFadden. decided to set up RECRUITERS - a recruitment company that respects its staff, practices good values, instills a good culture and punches above its weight because of the trusting relationships it instills and the standard of service it delivers their clients and candidates throughout Ireland.
The mission of the company in 2006 is still the same today - to put consulting back into recruitment.
Fifteen years later, our vision and belief also remain the same. We believe everyone should feel inspired in work, secure when they're there and leave fulfilled every day. This belief carries through to how we treat our own employees and the types of jobs we promote to candidates on behalf of Ireland's greatest brands that use our employer services.
We've seen and lived through it all. From recessions, governments and GDPR to Brexit, Megxit and Covid-19...the list keeps going and we hope it never stops! One thing that's never changed, however, is the quality of our people for whom, we owe a great debt of gratitude.
In fact, we would certainly not be here today if it wasn't for them so we're also going to take this opportunity to say a huge big thank you! Because of them, RECRUITERS have grown to become Ireland's most trusted recruitment partner.
The people that have come and gone from the business over the years have shaped its character, culture and success, and for that, we're so very grateful.
So here's to many more years of character building and further success, in-line with our company values of honesty, openness, drive, creativity and fun, with those we love and appreciate around us!
