Tralee is going to be the first town in Ireland to host the ‘Grow Remote’ conference on September 28, 2018. The Co. Kerry capital beat off stiff competition from over 40 towns and villages around Ireland. With over 216,000 people working remotely in Ireland, this full-day conference aims to promote the benefits of remote working, not just for businesses but for workers and the communities they live in.
The one day conference aims to kickstart a momentum around the remote working community in Ireland, with a specific emphasis on supporting town teams and various digital hubs around Ireland.
The first of its kind, the conference will play host to remote workers, remote working companies and town groups. Speakers from all over the world will share the latest thinking on the technology, management and opportunities for remote working. Currently, it is estimated that over 216,000 people work remotely in Ireland.
Event organiser, Rose Barret, says:
A remote working community needs many service providers to ensure a vibrant place and a thriving ecosystem. We’re thrilled that RECRUITERS see the potential in the remote working community in Ireland and are backing it from the start. We’ve received countless CVs since we started, and this is one more hope for those hopeful returns to rural Ireland.
RECRUITERS couldn't be more proud to back Ireland's first remote work conference. Speaking on the initiative, Gerard Doyle, MD of RECRUITERS, had this to say:
We're excited to be part of this wonderful initiative by Grow Remote. Many of our clients encourage remote working as part of their Employer Value Proposition and we've seen a growing trend in the number of candidates requesting it across the country. RECRUITERS invested significantly in our security systems and technology in 2017 which gave all of our staff the ability and viable option of working remotely.
On a consultative basis, we regularly promote and educate our clients about the benefits remote work brings to their organisations. It enables our clients to continue to lead in their market by remaining more agile and flexible.
Grow Remote is a community of companies, individuals and town groups who believe that smart working could and should be more accessible across Ireland. You can get involved by sharing case studies, telling us about companies that have great smart working policies, and hosting events around this theme.
