As we gear up for a significant expansion of our rooms division, we are actively searching for a dynamic and dedicated hospitality professional to lead our Front Office/Reservations Team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our senior management team, working closely with the Front Desk to maximize all hotel bedroom sales opportunities while ensuring the highest levels of guest service and satisfaction.

 

With a solid background in Front Office/Reservations and/or Revenue management within the hotel industry, you will bring energy and enthusiasm for hospitality sales and service. Your primary focus will be to lead the front office team in revenue maximization and profitability optimization, directly impacting the success and growth of our hotel. This entails increasing room revenue, implementing revenue management operations and best practices, identifying new revenue opportunities, expanding distribution partnerships, and providing comprehensive reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

The Ideal Candidate:

 

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel Front Office, Reservations, and/or Revenue Management within a target-driven hospitality sales environment, with proficiency in Hotsoft, Siteminder, and other hotel technologies.

Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach, demonstrating strong analytical skills and effective communication to enhance profitability and guest experiences.

Adaptable to market trends, competition, and guest preferences, ensuring our hotel remains competitive in a dynamic industry.

Commercially aware with expertise in yield management and rate strategies to drive revenue and achieve targets.

Experience in team management, sales focus, and achieving results through effective leadership.

Proactive self-starter with a track record of closing sales and thriving in fast-paced environments.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with clients and colleagues.

 

Required Skills:

 

Innovative thinker with the ability to anticipate business needs and implement new revenue-driving ideas.

Strong computer literacy, particularly in Excel and hotel-specific technology, with advanced analytical and numeric skills.

Exceptional interpersonal, influencing, and supervisory management skills.

Willingness to work hands-on as part of our growing team, keeping up-to-date with market trends and sourcing new business opportunities.

Revenue Responsibilities:

 

Establish a revenue management culture within the Front Office team, focused on achieving business targets.

Develop room pricing strategies, oversee revenue management operations, and manage day-to-day yield to optimize occupancy rates and revenue.

Utilize analytical tools to forecast demand patterns and craft pricing strategies for revenue optimization.

Manage room inventory and distribution, conduct competitor analysis, and monitor market trends to inform pricing strategies.

Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates, ensuring full utilization of hotel systems and technologies.

Provide regular reports and forecasts, collaborate with Sales & Marketing Manager to enhance hotel profile, and support financial and quality objectives throughout the year.

 

Front Desk Responsibilities:

 

Lead the Front Office team, ensuring adherence to standards and efficient Front Desk operations.

Take charge of recruitment, training, SOP development, coaching, and performance management for the reservations team.

Monitor and record all telephone and email reservations, ensuring prompt and courteous service.

Empower reservations team to maximize room occupancy, handle customer complaints, and coordinate billing with the accounts department.

Maintain open communication within the team and other hotel departments, liaising with housekeeping to meet guest requests effectively.

Stay informed about upcoming business and analyze guest trends regularly.
