IT Administrator
Are you looking for a role with an Irish business growing fast? Supporting over 100 users, this newly created role will suit a diverse technical candidate perhaps from an IT services firm who wants to go inhouse and manage a function, and down the line, hire a team. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of  Cloud Administration (AWS, Azure, Cloud etc), Infrastructure support and cybersecurity. In this role you will work as the main systems administrator and be the guardian of their cloud architecture.  If you are excited about being part of an exciting Irish startup and contributing to the growth of the company, then this is the company for you.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management for performance, availability, and security and ensure high availability of services and systems.
  • Optimise resource utilisation and costs within the cloud environment.
  • Maintain and update system configurations, software, and security patches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and best practices
  • Administer user access permissions, ensuring timely provisioning, modification, and revocation of system privileges, while maintaining compliance with security policies and user role requirements.
  • Cybersecurity Upscaling and staying up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices
  • Assist in incident response and recovery efforts.
  • Keep records of security incidents and resolutions
  • Performing Security Tests and monitoring
  • Data Protection- Implement and manage data protection policies and strategies in line with industry standards and regulations
  • Regularly back up critical data and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
  • Monitor data access and maintain data integrity

 
Qualifications & Experience
You will have a technical qualification(s) and more than 6 years’ experience in IT infrastructure support, security and cloud administration. Ideally you will have lots of experience in different support types (cloud, infrastructure, Cybersecurity & Firewalls, Laptops, Mobile devices etc.)

  • Cloud administration (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • cybersecurity and data protection principles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for support and service delivery
